Aristide Maillol (1861-1944) Original Sanguine Woodblock Prints

Each of the following Aristide Maillol artworks are original sanguine woodblock prints from the same series. Only 10 sets of this rare series were ever printed as they were intended solely for the artist's friends. This is edition number 7 of 10, as marked on each piece in pencil (VII/X). These artworks are original illustrations for Les Georgiques by Virgil circa 1940. They were published by Philippe Gonin. A photocopy of the original cover page will accompany each of the following prints.
